Come to an exclusive screening of Angel of Gaza, followed by a discussion with its award-winning filmmaker Ahmed Mansour
Ahmed Mansour, a filmmaker born and raised in Gaza, is visiting South Africa. SAJFP hosting a film screening in JHB so that audiences here can watch his important work and be in conversation with him about his journey from a refugee camp in Gaza, to becoming an activist hoping to advocate for his homeland through film.
The film is Angel of Gaza - a short documentary (26 mins) about 10-year-old Malak, who narrates her family's arduous journey of sacrifice and reunification with her father, in the USA after 7 years of forced separation. Angel of Gaza is a close-up portrait of a Palestinian child from Gaza and how they see the world around them.

The donations will be split between the Sophiatown Arts Akademy so that they can continue being a space for community organising and Ahmed Mansour for his work.
